Aren Forrest, LPC-IT

Aren earned his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and his Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University. He has experience working with youth, young adults and geriatric clients in community mental health, behavioral health, and private practice. Aren has worked to support people with a wide range of challenges from behavioral and emotional challenges, navigating neurodivergence, to major life changes. He has primarily worked with adolescents and young adults with depression, anxiety and identity concerns.

As a psychotherapist, Aren approaches his work with warmth, empathy and authenticity to cultivate a safe and supportive environment for clients to feel welcomed to come as they are. He enjoys bringing in creative elements such as art, music and nature to counseling to best fit each individual’s needs. He takes an integrative approach, primarily working through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to assist people in finding a lifestyle in-line with what is important to them. He believes that true growth comes from a strong working relationship, the bravery to look at oneself, the vulnerability to show up as you are, and the courage to make a change for yourself.

Outside of his professional work, Aren enjoys spending time playing a wide variety of games, taking hikes in nature, playing disc golf, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, and spending time with friends and family.
